What is Business in a Box?
Business in a Box is a unique product that consists of bundled voice, broadband Internet and free IT support built on a unified billing platform. It empowers small and medium businesses with world class IP telephony, high speed Internet, enhanced security and ProCare - a 24x7 integrated support system using an easy-to-manage platform.

What is the type of telephone service included in Business in a Box?
As part of Business in a Box, customers will enjoy the Managed Voice, which is an IP telephony service, allowing them to migrate their existing Single Telephone Line (DEL) or PABX to the new solution. Etisalat will assign a main number for receiving all incoming calls and will also provide up to 49 Managed Voice lines. Each Managed Voice line, comes with an IP Phone that can be customized with more than 30 features. Please refer to the Admin and User manuals to configure the IP Telephony system or call 800 5800 for support.
How many numbers will be available for users?
50 numbers will be available with Business in a Box. 49 numbers can be allocated to users. Incoming calls can come onto the Business in a Box main number and then forwarded to a chosen DID number or an IVR can be configured on the main number. However there will be no user/phone behind the main number.
Can all the voice lines be connected to the business gateway?
The gateway comes with 4 LAN ports and for voice line requirements greater than 4 lines, a switch will be required. Customer can purchase switch from Etisalat on monthly instalments or use his own switch.
Can I migrate my existing single landline no or the PBX no to be one of the voice line no.s on Business in a Box?
Yes, this needs to be clearly indicated in the application form. Existing no.s can be migrated to Business in a Box and customers can choose which no. should be the main no and which one should be the voice line no.
How many incoming calls can be received onto each DID no?
Two calls can be received on each DID number. The 1st call will be “live”, 2nd call will be “call waiting” and the 3rd call will receive a busy tone. A total of 6 calls can be received on a 19-user gateway and 20 calls on a 49-user gateway.
Can the DID numbers for each managed voiceline be in a sequence?
Yes, sequential numbers can be chosen. However, this will be subject to availability particularly if an existing landline number is being migrated.
What is the type of broadband service included in Business in a Box?
Etisalat will provide Managed Connectivity, a broadband connectivity service for the office that is bundled with WiFi access, storage, hosting and 24x7 support facility. Existing broadband service can be migrated or a new service account created.
What happens if I do not have a domain name as part of my current broadband that I am migrating from?
A new domain name will be given free of charge as part of Business in a Box.
Is the domain name renewal free of charge after the first year?
The annual fee for the domain name will be free of charge as long as the subscription to Business in a Box remains active.
What happens if I have a domain name linked to my current broadband connection?
If the subscription to Business in a Box is by migrating the existing Etisalat broadband connection, then the domain name will be migrated as well. Customers are requested to include the current domain name in the application form.
Are there any installation charges applicable to Business in a Box?
Yes, a one-time installation charge of AED 200 will be applicable to all customers.
Is there any special requirement prior to installation of Business in a Box?
After receiving your application, Etisalat will arrange a pre-qualification visit by an authorized technician to evaluate the cabling set-up and requirements for the IP Telephony service. If cabling is required, customers will be advised to arrange for the cabling work to be done by themselves or through Etisalat at a cost of AED 200
per Managed Voice connection. If service is chosen from Etisalat, the cabling will be provided upto 70 meters from the business gateway and any additional length of cable should go through a switch and will incur additional costs over and above AED 200.
Is a technician visit required as part of the installation of Business in a Box?
Yes, a technician visit will be required in all cases.
What is ProCare?
ProCare is a unique support service for your IT and telecom equipment and is available in 3 plans—Standard Care, Total Care, and Custom Care. With ProCare, your office and staff can get full support of technical experts who will resolve issues related to PCs, laptops, smartphones, routers, tablets and printers regardless of the model or the brand that you have. The service also covers installation, set-up, configuration, updates and maintenance throughout the year.
What is the support plan available with Business in a Box?
Standard Care comes bundled with Business in a Box. The service provides customers with technical assistance and supports the business IT infrastructure, office devices (phones, tablets, PCs, Macs), business applications (e-mail, storage, applications, etc.), network infrastructure, connectivity, and peripheral devices. The support is done via phone, remote access or online on a 24x7 basis.
Up to 3 devices per Managed Voice connection are covered in addition to 1 printer and 1 business gateway at the customer premises. These devices may be provided by either Etisalat or available with the customer.
To access Standard Care, customers are requested to call 800 5800. Customers can also log on to the ProCare portal procare.etisalat.ae to raise tickets or chat with support agents.
What is the Total Care plan?
Total Care includes the services covered under Standard Care in addition to on-site support. Standard Care customers have an option to upgrade to Total Care with an extra monthly charge of AED 99 per Managed Voice connection.
What is Custom Care plan?
Custom Care is a ProCare plan that offers Business in a Box customers customized professional services as a la carte. This includes but is not limited to Managed Migration (e.g. Microsoft Exchange migration, upgrade to Windows 8, etc.) and provisioning services for infrastructure including servers, network and voice. Full support list can be found on procare.etisalat.ae Standard Care customers have an option to subscribe to Custom Care by an additional per instance charge or a monthly rental.

What are the different contract options available with Business in a Box?
Business in a Box is available only on one year contract.
Can I subscribe to Business in a Box if I already have an existing Internet connection and/or fixed telephone line?
Yes, all migrations will be a new Business in a Box account with a one year contract.
Can I subscribe to Business in a Box by migrating my existing eLife account?
No, moving from eLife to Business in a Box and vice versa are not allowed.
Can I subscribe to Business in a Box by migrating my existing BusinessLite Triple Play account?
No, moving from BusinessLite Triple Play to Business in a Box is not allowed as Business in a Box does not include any TV services as part of the bundle.
What are the add-ons?
Customers can choose to have additional Managed Voice lines subject to a maximum of 49 users. Other connectivity services such as Business Ultimate, Business Super landline and ISDN PRI can be added as well. A wide assortment of devices are also available on 24 and 36 month contracts starting from AED 15/month.
How am I going to be billed?
Business in a Box bill will provide a break-up of the Managed Connectivity, managed Voice and Add-On services billing. Detailed call records of each managed Voice line will be available on the B2B portal. Business in a Box has a bill convergence option whereby customers can link other services such as Business Ultimate, Business Super, Landline, etc and avoid receiving multiple telecom service bills.
How can I pay my bills?
Customers are free to settle their payment through any Etisalat payment channel.
Can I pay the bill for individual accounts included in Business in a Box?
No, you cannot. The full amount of the converged bill should be settled.
How will add-ons be billed?
Add-ons are billed under the same Business in a Box account number within the same converged bill.
Does Business in a Box include a router?
A Business Gateway with WiFi is included in the service.
Can I include other telecom services in the bill to achieve a single customer view?
Yes you can. However, the outstanding billed amount for the service to be included must be settled. The service to be added needs to belong to the same company subscribed to Business in a Box. To add existing services within Business in a Box, please call us at 800 5800 or visit your nearest Business Centre, or contact your Channel Partner or Account Manager.
What is the delivery method for the add-on devices?
Once the order has been processed, Etisalat will contact you with the date of delivery. Please allow a maximum of 3 to 5 days from the day the main service has been installed and activated to receive the device(s).
What happens if I have a problem with my Business in a Box?
Customers are requested to call 800 5800 for any issue.
Is there any warranty for add-on devices?
Yes, all devices are covered by a 1-year warranty. Extended warranty can also be purchased. For more information, call us on 800 5800 or our device partner on 800 DGHELP
Are there any exit charges linked to Business in a Box?
Exit charges apply. The service contract may be terminated upon thirty (30) days prior written notice to Etisalat.
• For 12 month contract on Managed Connectivity and 12 month contract on Managed Voice [One month rental on Managed Connectivity package + AED100 x remaining months in 12 months contract (for Business Gateway)) + (One month rental on Managed Voice package x number of packages) + (AED15 x No. of phones x remaining months in 12 month contract)]
• Exit charges on Managed Voice shall only be applicable if the customer ceases their Managed Voice subscriptions within the 12-month contract. This will be applied independent of the Managed Connectivity contract
• For each additional device purchased by the customer to use with the service, the early termination charge is calculated as follows:
- If the customer has subscribed to the 24 month payment term (for each additional device, except Laptop i3 and Galaxy tablet): monthly rental for device x remaining months in minimum term.
- If the customer has subscribed to the 36 month payment term (for each additional device): monthly rental for the additional device x remaining months in minimum term
• Contract periods will be tracked from the date of subscription
• Minimum notice period for de-migrations as well as for cessations should be 30 days, which if not given, one month service rental will apply
• Exit charges are also applicable in case of downgrades, migrations and demigrations
